The Society Hotel

built in 1881

During our Portland visit we stayed a couple of nights in a historical hotel in downtown. The Society Hotel. It was built in 1881 as a safe place for sailors who came into a port. It's really well renovated and it keeps its old and unique elements and details. While we were staying there we felt like in a totally different era. Even though the room was pretty small, it was really cozy and thanks to big windows it was very well lit. The sun was shining into our room during the sunrise and sunset at the same time. I loved that! I was chilling on the bed covered with their super soft white robe, watching the busy street down from the window and when we felt cold or hungry, we came downstairs to have some really great coffee or gluten free avocado toast and sat by the fireplace. Could it be any more magical and cozy?! To watch the Portland sunset sky with pink skyscrapers we usually took elevator to the highest floor on the rooftop and took plenty of photos with our friend Alivia! Life was good! ♥
