We were in Portland again! And we couldn't have been happier that we are in our favourite city again!
When I'm writing this it's already January and it's hard for me to remember all the memories. Thank God we have all the dates on the iPhone shots and writing a journal on a 3 months trip it's also a good idea!
I created a short list and a gallery of our current favourite places and highlights of this visit. It wasn't easy because basically every day in Portland was our highlight haha. We just love to be there! Absorb all the beauty around. Smell all the coffee beans from the cafes. Satisfy our eyes by all the trees and mountains. Spend all our money in all those cute stylish stores. Taste every bite from all the raw vegan gluten free places. I can continue to infinity haha.
We discovered so many new places, made new friends, stayed in a really nice airbnb... Do you know those moments when you like the airbnb so much you want to stay there forever? One of my gastro-highlights was when me and my friend Alivia found a bakery only with gluten-free vegan plant-based stuff!! And when I saw the GF donuts behind the glass case, my eyes changed into the heart eyes emoji and I just had to have them all! It's called Back To Eden.
There's no need to write a list with the best cafes because every single one looks great and coffee tastes like heaven, (funny thing is that on our US trip 2 years ago I didn't drink coffee at all and now I'm back in the game). But if you need to know my favourite ones, it's definitely Prince Coffee. We left our hearts there! It's popular for their stroopwafels. Another one is Coava Coffee. If you search on Foursquare for the best rating places in Portland, it finds you Pip's Original Doughnuts. The chai there is perfect! Alivia took us to Vivienne Kitchen for brunch. Oh the interior was so lovely! Harlow was great too!
I love to visit all the cute stores, get inspired by the design of the interiors, discover new products, buy bunch of candles and sage smudge sticks. My most favourite is definitely Wild Poppy Goods! Every stationery store is cute but Little Otsu was the best one! The owners even have been to Prague and they sell some Czech brands too! I bought their monthly planner - super simple, small and light, from recycled paper, locally made. So if you need some tips for 2018 planners, here is the link. And because I'm a plant lover too, I have to visit all the flower shops and plant shops (for example Solabee Flowers). Too bad I can't buy any plants there. If you figure out how to transport plants across the ocean in a luggage, let me know! :D
