Christmas time in San Francisco
From cold rainy coast straight to sunny bay area! We spent entire December in San Francisco with my family and wrapped the end of the year with my birthday in Point Reyes. Although we love Portland and woodsy Washington so much, we kind of couldn't wait to be settle down a little bit and stay in one place for a longer time. I mean traveling is great but it's also nice to get organized every now and then.
We stayed in Sunset District in my sister's house, doing nothing for a while and just relaxed and had too much coffee and pastries in cafes. It's always nice to come back to San Francisco. All the memories from my childhood come up! Of course I had to jump to my all time favourite General Store and go for a walk on the Ocean Beach to watch the sunset. By the way, sunsets here are insane! Almost every day I witnessed the pink cotton candy sky (imagine heart eyes emoji here).
We also went to cut our own Christmas tree in Reindeer Ridge farm near Sebastopol. For the first time! I was really excited, it was our first Christmas outside of our homes back in Prague. I have this tradition when I decorate the Christmas tree, I play my Christmas playlist and then watch Home Alone, I love this movie!! Another change for us was that we had sun during the Christmas time and we were able to wear just some dress and light sweaters. There was no snow and cold like in Prague. Very strange!
Here's a list and a photo journal of some places I've visited this time:
♥ General Store (you could read about it in my last post about SF) ♥ Andytown Coffee Roasters ♥ Sightglass Coffee ♥ Four Barrel Coffee ♥ Black Bird Bookstore ♥ Conservatory of Flowers ♥ The Mill ♥ Fort Funston ♥ Stanford University with the cactus garden
